Daphne Billing Cohen, 89, died peacefully of natural causes on 12/31/2015. She was born and raised in Norwood, New York. Daphne chose the compassionate career of a Registered Nurse and during her first years in nursing, she met the love of her life, Allen Cohen. They were married in 1948 and raised two children as they both continued to work, setting an example to be followed by their children in both life and love. Daphne was a loyal friend, genuine and generous to many. She was an avid reader, wonderful cook, cookbook collector, crafter, quilt maker and a member of the Shady Ladies Quilting group for many years. Daphne was preceded in her death by her husband Allen in 2005, her parents Dorothy and Gordon Billings, her sister Ann Billings Ruff and brother, David Billings. She is survived by her son, Wade Cohen and wife, Melanie of Atascadero, CA. Daughter Marcia Cohen-Kerschen and husband Pat of Pomona, MO, grandsons Paul Cohen, wife Marisa, Brandon Cohen, wife Jodie, granddaughters Myriah Cohen, all of Atascadero, CA and Laura Kerschen of Pomona, MO. In addition, she had 8 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life is being planned for a future date.
