Jennie Marie Erickson

Jennie Marie Erickson, age 93, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at French Hospital Medical Center in San Luis Obispo. She was born and raised in North Hollywood, CA, studied design in San Francisco then returned to Los Angeles where she worked in western costume design for the Hollywood studios. She moved to the Paso Robles area in 1955. Jennie loved to travel and would guide groups to Hong Kong, as well take groups on fun bus trips to Lake Tahoe, Reno and Las Vegas. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening. She was a volunteer for many local organizations and served on the North County Food Bank for several years. She eventually moved to Vineyard Hills Health Center in Templeton, where she resided for many years. Jennie is survived by her children; Jim and Linda Erickson of Templeton, CA , Carol (Erickson) and Roger McGregory of Templeton, CA; and her grandchildren; Jim and Nova Erickson of Paso Robles, CA, Jill (Erickson) and Brent Holden of Paso Robles, CA, Paul McGregory and Lachlan Mulcahy of Union City, CA, and Michael and Kyndra McGregory of Los Alamitos, CA; and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Joanne M. Erickson. The recitation of the rosary will be 6:30 PM, Thursday, June 26, and a mass will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, June 27, both at St. Williams Church in Atascadero.
