Phil and I worked together for several years in the insurance business in Oakland, CA. He was a dear friend as was his beloved mother. He was one of the kindest, sweetest, most gentle souls I have ever had the privilege to meet. I so enjoyed our time working together as Phil made us laugh as he kept things light. He became a man of deep faith in his later years. He and his mother enjoyed worshiping together at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Oakland where Phil volunteered and eventually became an ordained deacon in the church. I miss his gentle presence on this earth and am comforted in knowing that Phil is once again reunited with his beloved mother. Peace of Christ my friend. ❤️

Uncle Phil, you were the greatest of all uncles on earth! You really loved and cared for us. I always missed having you babysit us when you moved away. We had so much fun when you were around! You made us laugh so hard whenever we called you 'uncle philip' and no matter what you were doing your foot would fly up in the air because you hated being called Philip (even though it was your name...) Oh so much fun. Styling our hair for us and writing little plays and helping us act them out 
for mom when she got home. I love you uncle Phil, you'll always be in my heart.

Phillip and I were at AHS together.   He was a good friend to me when I was the new kid in town. He introduced me to Pozo and the saloon and my heart has been there ever since. It’s the first place I drive through every time I’m “home” from Texas. I have great memories of the times we hung out. I wish I would have known where he was last year when I drove home so I could have stopped to visit. 

Phillip was always kind to me and my sisters, I loved his smile and his laugh.💙

I am so sorry for your loss.  Phillip and I were in high school together, we had a lot of good times.  He will be missed.

I met Phil online when I stumbled upon a post that featured his little home library in Mexico, and we bonded over it and dogs.  Recently we had discussed the people he knew from his performance days in the '80s who were featured in a documentary I was watching, and then again the day he was moving into his new apartment with Louie...and then he was gone.  

He worked so hard to get healthy and into safe surroundings, and it was a joyful day for him.  I know he is with his beloved mother now, and will be safe forever.

I met Phil at Malibu Brew.   We talked over the friendship of our small white dogs.  Lovely man!   Many conversations over the past months.  So glad to have had his friendship.  He is missed at coffee!

Phil and Louie would visit Malibu coffee e in Atascadero every morning where a few of us would hang out with out little dogs, Jack, Abby, and Arthur. I’m wondering if Louie is ok.  I know a few of us would take him in if needed.   We miss Phil everyday.  He was a bright and caring friend.
