Whether in California or Pennsylvania Bob will be remembered for his colorful
stories and sharing his love of backpacking, fly fishing, and many travels to South
America. He enjoyed collecting antiques, glass, vintage hardware, stained glass,
and jukeboxes. He also had a true appreciation of classic cars. He loved to have a
purpose, a goal, and a task to accomplish. He leaves behind many 3x5 cards and a
life well lived. A favorite past time of Bob’s was to take a Sunday drive through
the backroads of the California Central Coast and soak up the sun in Cayucos or
Cambria. He could often be found on the sunny deck of Las Cambritas enjoying a
Cubra Libre, music, and an ear of Grilled Mexican Corn.
A graveside service is being held at Pine Mountain Cemetery, Atascadero, CA on
November 12, 2024 at 11:00am. A celebration of life will be scheduled after the
first of the year to coincide with what would have been his 90th birthday.
Bob always said he was blessed with love, friends, and family. In lieu of flowers,
the family is requesting that donations be made to the Atascadero Historical
Society, Atascadero Police Association, or the Atascadero Printery Foundation.
