He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carol Barksdale Adams and children, Debbie Dawes, Angela Black (Randy), Jimmy Adams (LuAnn) and Gena Adams, grandsons Seth and Spencer Dawes and Michael Adams, sisters Maggie Miller and Linda Parsons and many nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Edward and Louise Adams and son-in-law Rick Dawes, his siblings Charles Adams, Betty Miller, Greney Adams, Horace Dwayne Adams, Dezzie Stewart and Joe Adams.
Bobby loved to bass fish, bird hunt, and raise a garden. He loved playing with his grandkids, telling them stories and going to ball games. Bobby attended East Limestone High School where he played basketball, football and ran track.
He retired after 30 years from Solutia in Decatur, AL. He enjoyed attending Bethel Church of Christ where he was a member.
