Elizabeth was born December 12, 1927 to George and Lizzie Hunt Burroughs.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband John Woods; sons William Wesley Woods and George Michael Woods; sister Frances Stinnett; brothers Leonard Burroughs, John Wayne Burroughs and Buddy Burroughs.
Survivors include her daughter Joann Arnold(Kevin); daughter-in-law Janet Woods, eight grandchildren including William Wesley Woods Jr.; two great-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A warm, protective, compassionate presence she will be deeply missed. Mrs. Woods was a long-time member of Jackson Way Baptist Church in Huntsville, she enjoyed many adventures with the senior group there. She loved spending time outdoors.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 16th at McConnell Funeral Home from 12pm-2pm. A service in her honor will begin at 2pm. Interment will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
