Mr. Gerald "Jerry" Adams

Gerald “Jerry” Albert Adams, 79, of Elkmont, Alabama passed away, peacefully and surrounded by family, from pneumonia on December 3, 2015 at Madison Hospital. Jerry was born July 21, 1936 to Albert A. Adams and Ella L. Adams in Binghamton, NY. He served 4 years in the United States Air Force and graduated from Tennessee Temple University in 1976. Jerry provided for his family as a carpenter and ordained minister and was extremely talented at wood working, bee keeping, fishing, and flying.

Jerry was preceded in death by parents Albert A. Adams and Ella L. Adams of Castle Creek, NY. Jerry is survived by his wife of 17 years, Janet “Sue” Adams; his sister Patricia Deiss; his sister Virginia Gilmore and husband Charles; his son Dean Adams and wife Lisa and their children Aaron and Ashley; his son Glen Adams and wife Marsha and their children Louisa and Christie; his daughter Julie Fronckowiak and husband Tom and their children Tyler, Ashton, Hailey and Amelia; his son Bryan Adams and wife Melissa and their children Ethan and Mia; his step-sons Mathew and Kathryn Church and their children and Michael Church; and many nieces and nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.

Jerry will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, a loyal friend, and a man of many great talents. Memorial Service will be held at Church of God 1547 Capshaw Rd Madison, AL 35757 at 1 P.M. on Monday, December 7, 2015.
