Herschel H. Posey

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. Posey passed away Monday Sept. 17, 2012, at Limestone Health Facility.

Herschel Posey was born July 27, 1925, in Limestone County to Edward Posey and Ada Irene Landers. He was a retired boilermaker welder. He was a member of Madison Street Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Christine Roberts, Jewel Green, Cybil Green and Mildred Brilee.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Eula Posey; two sons, Jackie Posey and wife Joyce, Larry Posey and wife Marilyn; one daughter, Shelia Scott and husband Jeff; one brother, Rufus Posey; three sisters, Nell Tolbert, Columbia Green and Sue Mealer; six grandchildren, Renae Deloach, Paula Guess, Isaac Posey, Lee Posey, Jeremy Posey and Breanna Schrimsher; and 14 great-grandchildren. .

Pallbearers will be Lee Posey, Jeremy Posey, Isaac Posey, Steven Posey, David Guess and Gabe Guess.
