Jim was a World War II Veteran. He enlisted for two tours of duty ad after successfully completing the Army Air Corps Medical Academy served as a Fight Surgeons Assistant, during which time he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. Jim often recalled his years in service to his country as some of the proudest and most satisfying of his life's accomplishments. He was a successful farmer and an astute businessman. More than that he was a remarkable husband, father and patriarch too his family and he will be sorely missed.
