LTC Hurt was a distinguished, retired Air Force Veteran.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Elkmont Methodist Church. A celebration of his life will follow with the family for all who wish to attend.
He is survived by his wife, Lawana Hurt; his two sons, James “Jay” Hurt (Lea) and Chris Sharp (Dee); his three daughters: Jennifer Rhuda (Jayson), Jan Nutter (Steve) and Rebecca Turner; his eleven grandchildren: Christen Nutter, Sarah Vranicar (Brian), Austin Sharp, Noah Sharp (Amelia), Jim Rhuda, Joe Rhuda, Jackie Rhuda, Jamie Hurt, John Hurt (Ana), Adam Hurt and Camille Turner; and his great-grandson, Jonah Hurt.
Preceding him in death are his parents, James and Vivian Hurt.
