Jerald Edward Wisdom

Funeral Service will be Wednesday October 13, 2021 at 2 P.M. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Joel Carwile officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at McConnell Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. Wisdom served his country in the United States Army from 1972-1975 and was a member of the Baptist faith. Mr. Wisdom loved spending time with his family especially his daughter and grandson while watching Alabama football and documentaries. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing and playing golf in his spare time.

Mr. Wisdom is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Joyce Wisdom of Athens, AL; one daughter Delana Sheree Wisdom (Barry Cooley) of Athens, AL; one grandson Ethan Riley White (Chesney Craig) of Huntsville AL; one brother James Green of Hartselle, AL; three sisters Kathy Thrasher (Tony) of Hartselle, AL; Linda McLemore (Randy) of Decatur, AL; Joyce Marie Green (Ken Womack) of Hanceville, AL; one brother in law Mickey Clay (Brenda) of Athens, AL; one sister in law Debbie Green of Decatur, AL; one aunt Anner Mae Smith of Athens, AL; his beloved dog Brutus and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his mother and stepfather Marie and James Green; father and stepmother Edward and Katherine Wisdom; two brothers Harold Green and Johnny Green; and his beloved dog Casper.

Pallbearers will be Ethan Riley White, Barry Scott Cooley, James Green, Jr.; Randy McLemore, Tony Thrasher, and Ken Womack.
