The funeral service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel, with Bobby Marks officiating. Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 5th from 10 am to 1:45 pm. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery.
He is preceded in death by his father, and one sister, Elizabeth Lasater.
Mr. Cox is survived by his wife Alicia Cox; his mother, Emma Hardiman of Athens; and one sister, Cynthia Smith and husband Cliff of Hartselle.
