Jessica was born on April 12, 1985 in Salt Lake City, Utah to her loving parents Larry Garbett and Pamela Phillips Garbett. Jessica was a fun and loving big sister to her siblings. She celebrated life by throwing family parties and hosting fun activities for her family and friends. Jessica understood what it was like to be on a difficult path in life and readily offered encouragement and help to those in need. She truly was a friend to all.
Jessica graduated from Sabino High School in 2003. She loved her time there and enjoyed singing in the school choir. After high school, she went to college at Eastern Arizona College and served tenderly as a caretaker for disabled children. She loved them with all her heart and her relationships with them shaped her future as a devoted wife and mother. The goodness and sweetness of Jessica’s children even in extreme difficulty reflect her success and great example as a mother.
Jessica was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her relationship with her Savior, Jesus Christ, and her family were most dear to her heart. She was sealed in the Holy Temple of God to her tender husband and children. Throughout her battle with cancer, she displayed faith in Christ and His power to provide healing and comfort. It is obvious that she believed that through Jesus Christ and her devotion to promises she has made with Him, her love and family relationships will be perpetuated beyond death.
Jessica is a loving mother survived by her parents, her husband of 12 years Bradley Millwood; four sons Kooper, Tobias “Toby”, Gage, and Hudson Millwood; and one daughter Arizona “Zoe” Millwood, all of Athens, AL; one sister Camille Harris (Patrick) of Rexburg, ID; two brothers Christopher Garbett (Amanda) of Athens, AL; and Matthew Garbett of Ogden, UT.
The visitation and funeral will take place on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 1716 Market St W, Athens, AL 35611. The visitation will be open from 10:30am to 11:45am. The funeral service will begin at 12pm with Bishop David Larsen presiding. It will also be broadcast over Zoom by following the link below. She will be buried in Roselawn Cemetery, Athens, AL.
Her family would like to express gratitude to friends, strangers, and health care providers who have served rigorously to care for Jessica, her family, and children during this difficult time.
