Jimmy Harold Lewis

Visitation will be Friday January 5, 2018 from 10-11:45 A.M. at New Garden Pentecostal Church.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

He passed away on January 2, 2018 at his residence.

Jimmy was born March 13, 1943 in Limestone County, AL to Will Lewis and Mamie “Furline” Lewis.

He was preceded in death by his parent’s, five sisters, and four brothers.

Jimmy served in the Navy as a young man, when he met his wife, April “Luce” Lewis, he then went into construction work for the remainder of his life, until he retired. He was a member of New Garden Pentecostal Church for 38 years.

He was survived by his loving wife of 54 years April “Luce” Lewis of Athens, AL; two sons Jimmy Harold Lewis, Jr. 53; Jeffrey Harold Lewis, 47; two daughters Monica Lee Bopp, 51; Christel Lynn Dockery, 46; two brothers Bill Lewis, Ray Lewis and wife Betty; one sister Lois Hovis; nine grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Justin Ray, Aaron Ray, Austin Scott, Daniel Lewis, London Lewis, Cody Tovar, Travis Sanders and Nathan Teeples.
