Kenneth A. Brooks, 83, of Athens, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 27, 2025, at his residence. Mr. Brooks was born July 26, 1941, in Trion, Georgia to Orris Allen Brooks and Dorothy Lee Pettyjohn Brooks.
Mr. Brooks is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lynda, and his constant companion, Peanut.
Survivors include two sons; Allen Brooks (Lydia), Carl Brooks (Paula Jenkins); one stepson, Patrick McGarrity (Kristy); one brother, Mike Brooks (Donna); one sister, Jan Brooks and her two dogs, Goober and Gracie; one grandson, Kenneth Allen Brooks III.
Mr. Brooks will be president of the Gold Wing Club in Heaven. He was an avid runner and triathlete and competed in the Boston Marathon. Triathlons were passion of his that he passed to his son, Carl.
