Lonnie Franklin Pack

The funeral service for Lonnie Franklin Pack, age 69, of Athens, AL; will be Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 2 p.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with brother Doug McCurry officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, September 12, 2014, 6-8 P.M. at McConnell Funeral Home.

Mr. Pack passed away Wednesday September 10, 2014 at his residence.

He was born September 18, 1944 to Lonnie Dalton Pack and Verna Lucille Goodin Pack.

Mr. Pack attended Calhoun Community College and he was an Army veteran. He enjoyed gardening and football. He was a barber for 47 years. He worked at Doss Barber Shop, and he owned Lonnie’s Barber Shop for 37 years.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Veronica Pack, two daughters, Debbie Pack Reels of Athens; Melissa Pack Brown (Missy) of Huntsville; one sister, Anna Hinsley; step-daughter, Tammy Dudzik of Florence; nine grandchildren, Roshanda Pack, Denise Robinson, Ambrea Pack, James Resler, Devon Pack, Anneesa Brown, Deanna Resler, Nikki and Stephanie Dudzik, 12 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Judy Burell.

Pallbearers will be James Resler, David Powers, Ryan Rich, Brennan Greer, Devon Pack, and Jeff Greer.
