Visitation will be Saturday, October 5, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. Christopher was born March 19, 1936 in Jefferson County to Lynn Christopher, Sr. and Sibyl Smith Christopher. He worked at Monsanto for 35 years. He loved his grandchildren very much, and he was an avid reader. He served in U.S. Army for 3 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons and two sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife Faye Christopher of 59 years; three daughters Patricia Ann Christopher of Birmingham; Dana Lynne Harbin and husband Clay of Hazel Green, AL; Sarah Elizabeth Bibb and husband Gary of Decatur, AL; two sisters Ann Lee of Decatur; Mary Silas of Athens, AL; five grandchildren Kayla Harbin of Nashville, TN; Kristin Harbin of Hazel Green, AL; Kelsey Harbin of Hazel Green, AL; Hannah Bibb of Hartselle, AL; Trey Sansing of Decatur, AL; and Several Nieces and Nephews.
