She was born on May 31, 1922 in Elkmont, AL to William Merritt Compton and Lizzie Cook Compton.
She was a Domestic Homemaker.
She is preceded in death by Husband, Francis Black and eight brothers and sisters.
She is survived by four sons, Donald Black (Margret) of Elkmont, AL, Charles Black (Rita) of Killen, AL, David Black (Lori) of Athens, AL, and Joe Black of Athens, AL. Two daughters, Becky Slaton (Mike) of Lester, AL, and Cindy Gregory (Mark) of Baileyton, AL. 14 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Donald Black, Charles Black, David Black, Joe Black, Steve Robinson, and Dane Pitman.
A private burial will be held at Limestone Memorial Gardens on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at 10:00 AM.
A Memorial Service and a visitation will be held at a later date.
