Mary Ruth Boles

Mary Ruth Boles of Huntsville, AL died October 30, 2011, just weeks before her ninetieth birthday. She was a native of Overton County, TN, born Nov. 23, 1921 to Dayton and Ella Brown Johnson of Overton County, TN.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Boles, son, Maxie Gene Boles, sisters, Lola Bennett, Ina Sly, Ester Brown and brothers, Maywood Johnson and Walter Johnson. She is survived by her son, Ronald W. Boles and wife Anne of Huntsville, daughter, Carolyn Sue Boles of Huntsville, sister, Nell Viens of Dallas, TX, grandchildren, Catherine Hereford and husband Robb of Huntsville, Alex Boles of Birmingham, Scott Boles and wife Pam of Murphreesboro, TN, Jeff Boles of Titusville, Fla., and Lisa Rice and husband Mike of New Hope, AL. Mary Ruth had six great-grandchildren Jesse, Anderson, and Nate Boles of Murphreesboro, TN, Cody and William Rice of New Hope, AL, and Alex Hereford of Huntsville.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 6th from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Huntsville First Presbyterian Church Gideon Blackburn house. Mrs. Boles will be buried at Campground Cemetery in Overton County following a private ceremony at a future date. in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lilies of the Valley, an ovarian cancer awareness and support group.
