William John Cole Jr.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 11, 2015: 9:30- 10:15 a.m. at McConnell Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Cole passed away Thursday July 9, 2015 at Athens Limestone Hospital.

He was born January 23, 1932 in Lawrence, MA to William John Cole, Sr. and Ivy Florence Shadbolt. He served in the U.S. Air Force 4 years. He was a Red Cross Volunteer at Athens Limestone Hospital and he was a member of First United Methodist Church of Athens, AL.

Mr. Cole is preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy Nell Swanner Cole, two sisters Joan Cameron and Barbara Platford, and one grandson Cole Stinnett.

He leaves behind three daughters Karen Cole of Slidell, LA; Cindy Stinnett of Tanner, AL; Patsy Craig of East Limestone; three grandchildren Hallie Stagner, Kelli Stinnett, Will Craig, three great grandchildren Hunter Cole Stinnett, Addy Grace Stagner, and Lilly Nell Stagner. two sisters Leslie and husband Richard Fay, and Claudia Ashcraft.

Pallbearers will be Will Craig, Dylan Stagner, Eddie Raiden, Bobby Smith, and Richard Fay
