Amy was a beautiful soul inside and out, born November 5, 1958 in Utica, New York to Dorothy and Jerry Long and was the youngest of two children. Amy later moved to Athens where she lived to be closer to her family. She graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in the fine arts. She was an exceptional artist, a sister, a daughter, an aunt, an animal lover and a best friend.
Amy was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Long.
She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Long; her sister, Melinda McCausland and husband, Wes; and her two nieces, Shannon and Jordan McCausland.
Services will be held privately.
We would like to give a special thanks to all those who helped us along this journey. Amy will be remembered by all her friends and family as a person who brings so much light and joy into each person's path that she crosses. You will forever be in our hearts.
