

He is survived by his loving wife, Ashley Bates, and his mother, Beatriz Jaramillo. Brian also leaves behind his cherished grandmother, Mercedes Peñaranda, and his siblings: Luisa Gomez, Randy Serrano, and Amber Cossio. Also surviving are his beloved aunts and uncle: Janeth Jaramillo, Claudia Tafurt, and Fernando Jaramillo, and his cousins: Linda Skonczewski, Said Medina, Monica Medina, Fernando Jaramillo and Isabella Jaramillo.
Brian was known for his infectious smile and warm personality. An avid fan of the New York Mets, he found joy in both baseball and football, often sharing his passion for the games with those around him. He loved to unwind by playing Xbox and indulging in his favorite foods, including any home cooked meal, Chinese cuisine, and a variety of Latin American dishes.
Music was another essential part of Brian's life, with a special fondness for the sounds of Oasis, The 1975, and Pinegrove. He will be remembered for his vibrant spirit and the happiness he brought to his family and friends. Brian's legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew him.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 1, 2025, in Bernstein Funeral Home, immediately followed by a funeral service in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Father Samuel Porras.
The service will be live-streamed at Facebook.com/BernsteinFuneral and will go live at approximately 1:50 PM.
