I only saw Dan once or twice a year at Scouting events, but he always took time to speak with me. I will miss seeing him here on Earth. God bless you all. Yours in Scouting, Matthew Delk

We extend our deepest sorrow to Carol, David and Libby at this time. Dan embodied the spirit of Boy Scouting, and served as an example to many. We recollect so many great times spent with Dan, searching for antiques, stamps, and scout patches, as well as exploring new places to eat. These wonderful memories will live on with us. We know he loved his family dearly.

Rest, Brother, we've known you well indeed and now in peace you'll sleep. You have done your work, and done it well, so none of us need weep. In Scouting we will miss your smile and your friendly handclasp but your Master will guide your steps and point the way for you. from the Broken Arrow ceremony, Order of the Arrow.

It is with great sadness that I just saw where Mr Bowdoin has passed, it was an honor working and being a friend. Dan would always make sure that families in the Reserve units were taken care of. Dan was such a great asset helping me and others during the time of his wife's Reserve units deployment. Dad was a great american and will be missed by many, GOD BLESS
