

A native of Niagara Falls, New York he was the son of the late Charles Marion and Lillian Lloyd Krick and was also preceded in death by brothers Charles, Robert and Thomas Krick. Coach Krick graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1956 with a degree in education, and Georgia Southern College in 1968 with a Master’s degree in science. He served in the United States Air Force and the South Carolina Air National Guard, and was employed with the Oconee County High School from 1982-1997. While at OCHS he coached JV Football, Girls Varsity Basketball, Soccer and was the Drivers Education Instructor. Coach Krick had served as President of the Optimist Club of Oconee County, was a member of the Toastmasters of Monroe, the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and was a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife Barbara Krick, daughter Colleen Blankenship, sons Roger Krick, Jr. and his wife, Audrey, and Curtis Krick, grandchildren Reeves Blankenship, Roger Krick III, Rebecca Blankenship, Emily Blankenship and Stephen Krick.
Memorial services will be Saturday, January 28, 2pm at Bernstein Funeral Home with a reception to follow at 3:30 pm at Highland Hills Retirement Center.
