A Georgia native, Ms. Poole was the daughter of the late Victor Garrett and Flora Nix Garrett. She loved to cook and camp with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Poole was preceded in death by her husband, James Morris; and siblings: Betty Garrett, Lucille Barber, William Garrett, Mary Scroggs and Janice Tacto.
Survivors include children: Glenda Meeler (Randy), Mickey Poole (Stefanie) and Rickey Poole (Michele); stepchildren: Ronnie Morris (Dottie), Michael Morris (Tracy), Timmy Morris (Rhonda) and Terry Morris (Teresa); siblings: Linda Barber, Ralph Garrett, Ann Fields and Joyce Harrison; grandchildren: Mandy Stephens, Brittany Dillard, Alexandra Russell, Hannah Poole, Jessica Hearn and Courtney Poole; great-grandchildren: Landon, Micah, Mila, Holland, Mason, Avery, Sadie and Ivey.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 16, at 11:00 a.m., in the Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastors Shannon Rhodes and Jeff Williams officiating. Entombment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 15, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Bernstein Funeral Home.
