Edna Jean McKinnon

A native of Clarke Co, GA, Mrs. McKinnon was the daughter of the late Callie and Verbie Shaw McLeroy and was preceded in death by her husband, Walter McKinnon; daughter-in-law, Rhonda McKinnon, and sister, Lucille Ballard. She was a member and past president of the Sunset Garden Club and a member of Beech Haven Baptist Church.

Survivors include sons, Kerry McKinnon of Athens and Kurt McKinnon and wife, Madelyn J. McKinnon of Hudson, FL; daughter, Karen McKinnon Day and husband, William of Colleyville, TX; brother, Lafayette McLeroy of Hartwell; grandchildren, Kelly Hongola and husband, Brandon, Brittany Day, Jessica McKinnon Hannon and husband, John, and Christopher McKinnon and wife, Elyse Brown-McKinnon; great-grandchildren, William Hongola and Tyler and Allie Hannon, and nieces, Gina McLeroy-Temple and husband, Ronnie and Verbie Erskine and husband, Alan.

Funeral services will be held 10AM Wednesday, July 31st in the chapel at Bernstein Funeral Home with Dr. Stewart Simms officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM Tuesday, July 30th at Bernstein.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Beech Haven Baptist Church, 2390 W Broad St, Athens, GA 30606.
