She moved back to Athens in 2001, regularly attending all types of UGA sporting events, as well as concerts and plays. She looked forward to the annual Wally’s Boys Breakfast with her father’s former players each G-Day. Faye was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and had been a Falcons season ticket holder for many years.
She was greatly loved by all her nieces and nephews, most of whom lived with her at one time or another. Her open-door policy was well documented and not limited to family. Faye was a talented artist who also loved to initiate arts and crafts projects with her daughters and grandchildren. She also loved taking cooking classes and studying foreign languages.
