

Frank was born on August 24, 1931at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Enid W. and George R. Lawson. He grew up in Inman Park/Buckhead and graduated from North Fulton High School. After High School, he served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Leaving the military, he attended University of Georgia, where he met his future wife, Patricia Ray. At UGA he was a member of the Chi Phi Fraternity. After graduating in 1956, Frank worked in the Family Real Estate Business, then Campbell Soup Company and retired after 31 years with Chattahoochee Brick Company/General Shale Corporation. Frank was one of the original Buckhead Boys, a member of Athens Country Club, Antique Automobile Club of America and First Presbyterian Church. Frank played decades of golf, had wonderful years of traveling the world with Patsy and for the last ten years enjoyed collecting and showing antique cars.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Patricia Ray, his daughter Cindy Crane (Les), his son, Frank Lawson, Jr (Susan), his sister Michelle Westmoreland (Tom) and 7 grandchilden.
Memorial Service celebrating Frank's Life will be held in Athens, GA on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 1:30 pm at First Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the University Cancer and Blood Center of Athens, GA.
