A native of Memphis, TN, Mr. Moore was the son of the late Bernard Wilson Moore and Phal Dixie Belle Moore and was preceded in death by brothers, James Robert Moore and William Moore and a sister, Eleanor Moore. Mr. Moore served in the United States Air Force during World War II. After the war he attended law school at the University of Arkansas until he was recalled for the Korean War. Mr. Moore retired from the Air Force as Lt. Col after 26 years of service. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine LaFave Moore of Watkinsville and daughters, Melissa Phal Moore of Washington State and Melinda Lea Moore of San Francisco, CA.
A graveside service will be held 10AM Wednesday, August 3rd at Evergreen Memorial Park.
