It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Horace Glenn Moon, 79, on December 19, 2025 in Athens, Georgia. Glenn was born April 25, 1946 in Greensboro, Georgia to the late Jesse Lee and Mae Belle Wilson Moon.
He graduated from Greensboro High School in 1964 and served in the United States Army and Army Reserves (1966-1972). After his honorable discharge from the Army, he worked in hardware, plumbing, and electrical sales.
He loved his family and enjoyed working in his yard, Georgia football, a good meal, and watching Drew play baseball, basketball, and golf.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 59 years, Barbara Anne Allen Moon, Athens; two daughters, Kellie Elizabeth Moon, Athens and Reagan Moon Wilson, Statham; grandson, Andrew (Drew) Allen Wilson, Statham; brother, Ernest Lee Moon, Washington, Georgia, along with many other family and friends.
No service will be held at this time, but please join us Saturday, April 25, 2026 to celebrate his life and his 80th birthday. Details to follow.
