Born December 20, 1939 in Sampson County, North Carolina, Mr. Street graduated from Salemburg High School and Fayetteville Technical College. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965-1967 and worked as an electrical engineer/computer programmer for 40 years. Mr. Street was a member of Oconee Heights Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and served as a deacon.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Rose Street; daughters, Sherry McGee (John), Bethany Montgomery (Chad); son, Michael Street (Jennifer); seven grandchildren; sister, Sara McLamb (Jimmy); brother, Stephen Street (Linda).
Mr. Street was preceded in death by parents, Andrew and Virgia Street and brother, Johnny Street.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 13 from 6-8 p.m. at Bernstein Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 14 at 10 a.m. at Oconee Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Crist Camden officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro.
