A native of Philadelphia, PA, Mrs. Cobb was the daughter of the late Elta Scott Greene and was preceded in death by her husband, Alvie James Cobb. She was very active in the former North Georgia POW Chapter.
Survivors include her son, David Cobb and wife, Cumby Hammock-Cobb; niece, Kendra Bishop and husband, Bruce Bishop; grandchildren, Bradley Cobb, Natalie Bradley (Ed), Barry Cobb, Nicholas Cobb, Brian Cobb (CheVonne), and Noah Cobb and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2PM Wednesday, October 22nd in the Chapel at Athens First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends following the service. Interment will be held 1PM Thursday, October 23rd at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
