Born in Wethersfield, CT on December 26, 1945 to the late Charles and Anna (Hayes) Frazee, he graduated from Northeastern University with his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees of Engineering leading to a distinguished career at Northeast Utilities and Pfizer.
Lloyd married his high school sweetheart, Margaret (Peggy) on June 21, 1969. Together, they raised five children, teaching them the importance of Christ, the foundation of family, and dedication to the Boston Red Sox. Together, they impacted a generation for Christ as leaders in their church and school.
While known for his selflessness, humility, and wisdom, Lloyd's love and commitment to his family was and will remain his legacy. Lloyd loved to travel; he loved great food; but he loved those things more as long as Peggy was there. If the fields and courts of Newington, CT could speak, they would echo his often-silent pacing along the sidelines as he projected confidence and encouragement to Sandy, Matt, Dan, Steve, and Laura. From the lakes of Canada he dearly loved, to the ponds and eddies of the Cape Fear River Basin of North Carolina, Lloyd's love for canoeing, nature and fishing became a portal to convey laughter, adventure, excitement, and character to his children and grandchildren. As husband, father, and grandfather—his love knew no limit and his counsel was beyond value.
Lloyd had mastered the art of last-minute Christmas shopping and it was rumored that he was the one actually delivering the newspapers on his children's paper routes. Without complaint, he orchestrated missions to retrieve misplaced purses and gain access to locked cars. Always prepared, Lloyd could have outfitted a small village with ski equipment, toaster ovens, Christmas lights, electrical wiring, plumbing, boots, and tools from the unofficial Home Depot known as his basement. In the end, these examples of his commitment to family and his unmitigated kindness to all stands as a monument to a life of character lived on the currency of truth.
Lloyd leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Margaret (Peggy) Frazee; daughter Sandy Potter, her husband Andrew Potter and daughters Emily and Lauren; son Matthew Frazee, his wife Eve and their children Anna, Nate and Millie; son Daniel Frazee, and his daughter Talia; son Stephen Frazee, and his daughters Olivia and Kara; his daughter Laura Shaver, her husband Tony and their children Drew and Sarah. He is also survived by his brother Roy and his wife Lynn Frazee. He was preceded in death by his sisters Ruth Davis and Beryl Duncan. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
