A native of Madison County, Mrs. Sims was the daughter of the late John Alvin and Ruby Mae Lord Conwell and was preceded in death by her husband William C. Sims and son James Donald Sims. She was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughter in law Susan Sims of Watkinsville, granddaughters Lisa Thomas and husband Chris, Leslie Williams and husband Stewart, great grandchildren Shelby, Evan and Camille Thomas and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 3PM Wednesday, September 14th, at Mars Hill Baptist Church. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends 6-8PM Tuesday, September 13th, at Bernstein.
