Mrs. Hansford was a native and longtime resident of Watkinsville. She was born to the late Ed and Emma Elder Hayes and was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Benjamin Hansford and brothers, James Hayes and C.B. Hayes. Mrs. Hansford was a homemaker and a member of Antioch Christian Church as well as the Flat Rock Home Demonstration Club.
Survivors include daughter, Linda Culp and husband, Kenneth; son, Lloyd Hansford and wife, Paula; grandchildren, Lafe Hansford and wife, Maddie, Ken Culp and wife, April, and Kade Culp; three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 26 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home with Rev. Sheila Hunter officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Lafe Hansford, Kade Culp, Ken Culp, Wayne McTyre, Stan Dickens, and Russell Willoughby.
