Marvin E Linton

A native of Martinsburg, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Robert E. and Lillian Keyton Linton. Mr. Linton is survived by his wife, Margaret Linton and step-daughter Donna Whitmore and husband Samuel of Athens and step-daughter Nita McCormick and husband Joseph of Falling Waters, West Virginia, 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a step-son Russell Penner, brothers Wesley and Brooke Linton, sister Edith Linton and grandson Cris Penner.

A graduate of Martinsburg High School he was employed by the J.J. Newberry Company in Hagerstown, MD and Lexington, VA and later employed by K-Mart in Charlottesville, Virginia where he retired after 17 years. Upon retirement he moved to Athens where he was property manager for Baldwin Village Apartments for 22 years. Mr. Linton was an active member and past elder of the Campus View Church of Christ.

His favorite times were shared with his wife and three step-children, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His love of God and family were first in his life.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, December 27, at the Campus View Church of Christ with Pastor Steve Watson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until the funeral hour at the church.
