Maud Huston

A native of Dalton, GA Mrs. Huston was the daughter of the late Stark and Lila Bearden Ford and was preceded in death by husband, Dr. Till M Huston. She was a retired teacher with the Clarke County School System and former President of the Clarke County Teacher’s Association. In 1977, Mrs. Huston was the runner up for the WSB-TV Teacher Hall of Fame for the State of Georgia. She was a member of Alps Road School Hall of Fame, LIFT, and an active member of Young Harris United Methodist Church for 58 years.

Survivors include son, Jimmy Huston (Lynn) of Sherman Oaks, CA; daughter, Marie Huston( Bob) of Marietta, GA; son, Bill Huston (Barbara) of Athens, GA; grandchildren, Misti Colley and husband, Troy, Breanne Huston, Katie Huston, Kendal Hall and husband, Jeff, Hunter Spinks and wife, Loren, Georgia Huston, and Veronica Huston, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2PM Tuesday, March 29th in the chapel at Bernstein Funeral Home with Rev Ron West officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM Monday, March 28th at Bernstein.
