A native of Los Angeles, CA. he was the son of the late James Roscoe and Barbara Jean Dahl Cleghorne. Mr. Cleghorne served in the US Navy as a Navy Seal and was employed by Adams Motor Express as a long haul freight specialist. He was a former member of the Street Masters Car Club, enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a member of the Mars Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Cheryl Kay Green Cleghorne of Watkinsville; son Michael Trace Cleghorne of Watkinsville, step daughters Toni Elysia Phillips of Watkinsville and Amber Rene Thompson of Oak Grove, KY; brother John Robert Cleghorne of Danielsville, sister Shelli Strinz of Arcadia, CA; grandchildren Georgia Michelle Phillips, Porcha Lynn Phillips, James Brian Wilkes and Kaylin Kendall Thompson and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends at Bernstein on Saturday, November 20, from 5-7 PM. No funeral services are planned at this time.
