A native of Athens, Mrs. Hale was a daughter of the late Vince and Ruth Mooney Porter. She was a lifelong member of East Athens Baptist Church and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Raymond Hale; and sisters: Hazel Porter and Helen Bramlett.
Survivors include two sons: Steve Hale (Linda O’Reilly) of Nicholson and David Hale of Watkinsville; one granddaughter, Amanda Stueck (Todd) of Nicholson; two great-grandchildren: Hanna and Alex Shook; one niece, Elaine Bradshaw of Watkinsville; and one nephew, Charles Bramlett of Bogart.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 6, at 11:00 a.m., at Evergreen Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the East Athens Baptist Church, 4325 Lexington Rd., Athens, GA 30605.
