Born in Minnesota, Mrs. MacKenzie was the daughter of the late George and Margaret Nelson Johnson. Early in her career, she worked as a flight attendant for Braniff International Airways and later worked with her husband at Mayflower Van Lines in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Her passion was raising her three daughters. She was a member of Alps Road Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Johnson.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Alex MacKenzie; daughters, Julee Schoenfeld (Gordon), Jennifer MacKenzie and Alexis Dickerson (Andrew); brother, Larry Johnson; sister, Barbara Fain; and five grandchildren, Ryan, Connor and Amelia Schoenfeld and MacKenzie and Everett Dickerson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at Alps Road Presbyterian Church with Dr. Bob Bohler officiating. A reception will follow the service. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
