

Born August 8, 1922, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she graduated from the University of Georgia in 1942. She was president of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Beta Kappa.
A lifelong Episcopalian, Rosemary taught Sunday School for many years at Emmanuel Episcopal Church. She also taught nursery school in her home (the Jack and Jill Nursery School) when her children were young. Later when her children were older, she taught freshman English at UGA. She was President of the Jr. Assembly of Athens (Jr. League) and President of the Junior Ladies Garden Club.
Rosemary excelled at everything she did, but her greatest achievements were as a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Momo was the matriarch of her family and respected and beloved by all of them.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Dan Magill; mother and father, Vashti and Louis F. Reynaud; and a sister, Camille Morgan.
Survivors include a son, Daniel Hamilton Magill III (Brenda); daughters, Sharon Brown (Bill), Mollie Sloan (Steve); grandchildren, Carroll Magill (Cameron), Cathleen Magill Obray (Rick), William Bates Brown (Evie), Casey Magill Brown (Jessica), Spencer Magill Sloan (Millie); nine great-grandchildren, a brother, Louis F. Reynaud and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at eleven o'clock at Emmanuel Episcopal Church with a reception following in the Parish Hall.
