She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Born in Whittier, California where she met a Marine in 1945 and they married. She was a world traveler accompanying her husband of 78 years, during those years they visited 31 countries.
She was a 600 bowler and an avid golfer. She as a member of the Athens Country Club for 4 decades.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert W. Jensen and her son, Steven Craig Jensen.
She is survived by her son, Arnold Eric Jensen (Jerri); daughter, Kris Jensen Mize; grandchildren, Dr. Kelly Jensen, David Jensen (Tara), Valerie Mize and Jeremy Mize; great-grandchildren, Sam Jensen (Emily) and Faith Jensen.
A visitation for Ruby will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, at Bernstein Funeral Home, 3195 Atlanta Hwy., Athens, Georgia 30606. Following the visitation will be a funeral service at 3:00 PM in the Evergreen Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum, 3655 Atlanta Hwy., Athens, Georgia 30606.
