Sandy was a loving mother of two dedicated children and a member of the Watkinsville-Athens community for over 50 years. She is welcomed into our Heavenly home by her Mother- Maryanne Roles, Father- James Roles, and Sister- Cindy Roles. Sandy will be deeply missed by all who knew her, particularly her surviving children, Daughter- Taylor Waldrip and Son- Zac Waldrip.
Sandy was a sweet, compassionate, caring and giving person. She wore her huge heart on her sleeve. She rescued and helped animals in need. She would give you the last bite of her favorite food. She was always there when you needed her. Our mother, Sandy, was a strong woman who faced challenges in her life with courage and optimism. She was, and will forever be, a source of shelter and warmth to us all. She will be remembered by everyone whose lives she impacted.
Sandy was born April 11, 1959 in Plant City Florida to Maryanne & James Roles. Growing up, Sandy held an affinity for cats, which developed into an enormous passion for animal rescue. She worked closely with the Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter and other local agencies to benefit homeless pets, at times opening her home to animals in need. She loved being a home-maker, caring for her children, and showing love to those who would receive it. She also loved the Lord, tye dye prints, thanksgiving food, crown n coke, and classic country Saturday nights.
To our Mom, you will always be in our hearts and we will never forget you. We love you so much. Rest in peace, until we see you again.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.BernsteinFuneralHome.com for the Waldrip family.
