Sara Maxwell Mize, 81, of Oakwood, GA passed away Sunday, June 13, 2010.
A native of Athens, GA, Mrs. Mize was the daughter of the late Hubert R and Thelma Watson Maxwell and was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Littleton Harris; brother, David Nathaniel Maxwell, and sister, Mary Anna Nichols.
Survivors include husband, Howard Mize of Oakwood, GA; children, Robert M Harris and his wife, Sunny of Dallas, GA, Howard Mize Jr and his wife, Becky of Oakwood, GA, Anita Marie Palmer and her husband, Kenney of Clinton, SC, and Brenda Lee Groover and her husband, Freeman of Alpharetta, GA; brother, Charles Rilee Maxwell of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Joy Harris, Joshua Harris, Jamie Mize, Erica Mize, Mallery Mize, Christopher Horton, A.J. Horton, Chase Horton, Samantha Groover, and Nicholson Groover, and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1PM Friday, June 18th in the Chapel at Bernstein Funeral Home with Rev Hoyt Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM Thursday, June 17th at Bernstein.
