

Thomas David McAdams, 53, of Athens passed away February 14, 2012, after a brief illness. He was born in Fernandina Beach, FL and is preceded in death by his parents, Sarah and Spurgeon McAdams of Athens.
David is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Annette Raby McAdams, his son Shane McAdams of Athens, GA and daughter Megan McAdams Bennett (Zackary) of Nicholson, GA and grandson, Parker Bennett. He is also survived by his brothers Spurgeon Alan McAdams and wife Ellen, Falls Church VA; Harold (Hal) Cooper McAdams and wife (Barbara) Athens, GA; a sister Barbara (Bobbie) Joy McAdams, Augusta, GA; an aunt, Frances Jacks, Huntsville, AL; an uncle, Charles Buddy Parker Gainesville, FL; and several cousins: John Tooke and wife Samantha of Sarasota, FL; Heidi Tooke of Clearwater, Fl; Scott McAdams of Frisco, TX; Rob Parker and wife Patricia, Melbourne, FL; Steve Parker, San Jose, CA; Jeff Parker, Jacksonville, FL; and Mike Parker, Boca Raton, FL and others.
David worked in the construction business most of his life and was known by many in the community as “Hollywood” from his earlier years. He loved life and gave so much of himself to his friends and family. David loved his family very much, worked diligently and sacrificed much to provide for them.
David was a very special person and will be truly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services for David will be held Sunday, February 19, 2012, at 2:00 at Bernsteins Chapel with the Reverends Martha Aenchbacher and Eric Fessler officiating. The family will receive friends at Bernsteins Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2012.
A private burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery.
