Vivian is survived by her two children, Melissa Morton Hill of Athens, GA and Bill Morton of Atlanta, GA. In addition, she has three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack W. Morton of Athens, GA.
Vivian was born on Jan. 18, 1925 in Copperhill, TN, but spent her childhood in Asheville, NC. She married Jack W. Morton in 1947. They moved from Asheville, NC to Athens, GA in 1948.
Her wish for everyone was to live with joy and to find your passion in life, not to be sad in her passing, but to enjoy life to the fullest.
Her passion was to help those that suffered from addiction. She dedicated her years to passing on what she knew to others in AA. She worked as an After Treatment Counselor at the Commencement Center until she was 71 years old. She touched many lives and helped so many with addiction problems.
