Zhi Hong Wang
1963-2014
Zhi Hong Wang, 51, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2014 after a tough fight with lung cancer (diagnosed May 2013).
Born in Hubei, China, she is the daughter of Yunyang Wang and the late Xinhui Pan. She obtained her MD at Wuhan University Medical School and moved to New Zealand to be with her newly wedded husband. From 1988-2000, she lived in Philadelphia, PA and Cherry Hill, NJ where she worked in labs at Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania. From 2000-2014, she moved to a new life in Athens, GA, where she worked for the USDA as a microbiologist -- both in ARS and FSIS.
She is survived by her father Yunyang Wang of Hubei, China; husband, Zhen F. Fu and daughter Amy Fu, of Athens, GA; her son Dan Fu, of Gainesville, GA; and her son David Fu, of New York City, NY.
