It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, and friend. She passed away peacefully at the age of 80.
Born on August 27, 1944, in Jamaica, she dedicated 37 years of her life as a social worker, making a lasting impact on the lives of many before moving to the United States. Her kind heart and caring nature touched everyone she met.
She was a loving mother to her children and their spouses, and a devoted grandmother to Tristen, Ryenne, and Cherrise. She will always be remembered for her warm hugs, birthday calls, and thoughtful prayers. Even as dementia affected her memory, her gentle spirit and love remained strong. Those who cared for her often spoke of her kindness and deep faith.
Her life was focused on family, faith, and love. She found joy in simple things like puzzles, music, and quiet moments. Though she lived simply, her life was filled with meaning and love. We find comfort knowing she is now at peace. As she often said, "If I don’t see you again in this life, I will see you in Heaven." Jesus said, to her, ”I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”— John 11:25-26 (ESV)
She will be missed dearly by her children, Tina and Horace, her grandchildren, family, and friends. Her legacy of love, faith, and kindness will continue to live on in all who knew her.
