My acquaintance with Dan was through Atlanta Cuisine.  I have pleasant and positive memories of our conversations about restaurants, Dodge City, KU and more.  What a shock!  The family is in our prayers.

I went to Jr. High and High School with Dan.  He was in my orchestra class.  He was first chair, Viola.  He was the sweetest person and he had a great smile.  It reached to his eyes and was very sincere.  My condolences on your loss.  Dan was a great person and I am sure he will be missed by many~

Dan was a true friend to the Aging Services Divison at ARC and for that we are very grateful.  He was sincerely committed to supported us in keeping our phone systems as functional as possible.  I'm so glad that we took a break one day and enjoyed lunch together at the Australian Bakery in East Point where I learned so much more about Dan as a person and his love for food. I can't believe this happend to you. I really enjoyed working with you for 7 long years at ARC. I knew you wanted to retire at Beaufort SC and was set up to pay that house off early.  Such a tragedy. Hope they have fine dining up there for you.

As a friend of my father's, I met Dan when I was about five or six years old. That was almost thirty years ago. From vacations, to Christmas dinners, from his garlic addiction to his bike riding years, from his love of fireworks, fishing and sports not to mention his tales of slaughter house horrors to his quick wit and ability to deliver a good joke, our family has called Dan a friend through many phases of his life. He will be missed. My sincerest condolences to the Loker family.

It was a pleasure knowing Daniel. He was very optimistic in his therapy, he will be missed. My condolences to his family.

Dan's good heart and spirit will be sorely missed, but not forgotten at ARC.  He always had a big smile and willing hand to lend in helping us less technical folks. I enjoyed talking about the J-Hawks with Dan, as I have relatives in Lawrence, KS. You could tell Dan came from a fine family and my sincere sympathies go out to you at this sad time.

Dan was a great co-worker. Dan always had a smile on his face and a solution for your IT problems.  Dan will be missed by us all. My prayer is for comfort during this hard time for Dan's family and friends.

It's going to be hard not seeing Dan around the office.  I considered him not just a coworker but a friend.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I had the opportunity to attend a management training class with Dan a few years ago and was pleasantly surprised at how really nice he was and that he had a good sense of humor. Even when his back was bothering him, Dan was always helpful, patient and kind when assisting me with computer problems. I express my sincere sympathy to the Loker Family. Dan will be missed as a co-worker. I offer prayers for your strength.

There's no bigger Jayhawks fan than Dan.  I'll always remember passing him by in the ARC hallways, and him bringing up my team as a segue to talk about Kansas.  I'll also never forget that thunderous laugh.  If he laughed, then it must have been very funny.  We'll all miss you Dan.  Thanks so much for always being there for us when we needed you; a quality that is agonizingly underrated, yet something that inspires us all.

I am so sorry for your loss. Dan was a pleasure to work with; patient, funny, and always happily providing assistance with anything you needed, no matter how minor or major, related to IT and computer help.  He made a big impression on me in my first days on the job at ARC.  We will miss him greatly.

You were not just a great coworker, but a kind man. You always strived to do your best with a big smile. I am going to my miss your laughter and swapping diet techniques in the coffee room in the early mornings.

Dan was truly one of a kind.  Lovable and unforgettable, he was a very genteel sort of fellow, who turned the very casual dish of chilli into haute cuisine, easing winning many of our company Chilli Contests.  His words on the 'art of beers and brewing' made even a teetotaller like myself want to walk into a neighborhood pub and order a "cold one."  And if there is a science to telling a good joke, then Dan was a professor.  Rest in Peace, Dan, for you were truly loved, and you shall be truly missed upon this earth.

I knew Dan for years through the local food-loving community. He was a good man and a terrific friend. My condolences to his family on this tragic loss. He is already greatly missed.

Sometimes when I attended Braves' games he was with my nephew. We sat together and shared some laughs.  Dan had a great sense of humor and was enjoyable to be with.  I grieve for you in your loss.

I worked with Dan several years before my retirement from ARC. I remember him fondly as an intelligent and caring person. One specific memory is a time when I had lost a file, an email I think, and Dan took me to the "computer room" console and flew through a list of possibles. I had no idea what was flying by but Dan could see and digest at an amazing speed. We will miss him. May God keep his soul and bless his family and friends.

Dan was a very caring individual with a wonderful sense of humor. He introduced me to several new restaurants, where we shared many great conversations over lunch. My thoughts go out to his family and friends.

The news of Dan's passing was really a blow to me. He was a great guy with a very kind and genuine heart. My family and I wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to the Dan's family. He was my co-worker, but most of all, he was my friend and he will be missed dearly.

I had the pleasure of sharing Dan's company at many meals in a neighborhood dinner group. Dan was hospitable, warm, caring and an asset to his neighborhood and the greater Atlanta metro area. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.

Our family first met Dan on Mother's Day years ago at Iris restaurant. We since dined with Dan a couple of times, and I had the pleasure of meeting with his friends at his home. Dan was a very smart and humble man. I am so sorry for your loss.
