Donald Francis Wagner Sr., age 70, died February 28, 2017, after a long, eventful, joyful life. Don was born and raised in New Jersey, where he attended Columbia High School and Fairleigh Dickinson University, and where he lived most of his life. Don lived for a time in Tucson, Arizona, where he developed a lifelong love for the desert and University of Arizona basketball. Don and his three youngest children finally found home, however, in Atlanta, with its mild climate, year-round bloom and bird seasons, and cheap flights to his sisters’ beachside homes in Florida. Atlanta also brought Don his family at Credigy, where he worked as a process manager for 14 years and made countless friends. Don is survived by his daughters Raina (Robert) Bartlett, Meghan (Stuart) Maron, and Ashley-Rae Wagner; his son Donald Francis Wagner, Jr.; stepson Jeffry Wynn; grandchildren Deric Wagner and Isabella and Jackson Bartlett; his dedicated siblings Philip Wagner, Therese (Paul) Parsons, Christopher (Patty) Wagner and Dorothy (Ken) Fields; many nieces and nephews; and his loving companion Cindi Beckman. He is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Grace, his son Nathan Wagner, and his wife Donna (Quigg) Wagner. Don’s children invite you to celebrate their father's life at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the chapel at H.M. Patterson & Son, 1020 Spring St. NW, Atlanta, GA 30309. In lieu of flowers, please direct donations to Don sister Dotti Field's fundraising webpage for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society IronGirl Team In Training event: http://pages.teamintraining.org/sun/yourway16/dfields8et . The LLS organization and their mission for cures is close to his heart.
